- 1 cup dark rum
- 1 cup port wine
Cake batter
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup browning sauce
- 1 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

STEP 1
In a bowl, combine mixed dried fruits, dark rum, and port wine. Cover and let it soak overnight

Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Grease and line 2 (9-inch) round cake pans with parchment paper
